Sharp From Cheek to Neck

A Beard Trim That Fits Your Face

The right lines make a beard look planned, not just grown.

Most beards do not need to be shorter. They need shape. We take down the bulk where it sticks out, keep the length where it flatters your jaw, and blend the sideburns into your haircut so there is no shelf. Then the cheek line and neckline are edged with a razor.

Short stubble, a full beard, or a goatee all get the same care. If you would rather take it all off, we do clean shaves as well. Not sure what suits you? Ask. Our barbers have a good eye for what works with your face and will tell you straight.

Beard Trouble

Beard Problems a Barber Can Fix

Trimming your own beard in a bathroom mirror only gets you so far.

  1. A Neckline Cut Too High

Trim above the jaw and the beard looks thin. We set the line lower.

  2. One Side Thicker Than the Other

It is hard to match both cheeks yourself. We even them out by eye.

  3. A Beard That Hides Your Jaw

Too much width at the sides makes any face look rounder than it is.

  4. A Gap Where Beard Meets Haircut

A hard step at the sideburn breaks the look. We fade the two together.

  5. Stray Hairs on the Cheeks

A razor-clean cheek line makes even short stubble look sharp and on purpose.

Thirty Minutes, Start to Finish

How Our Beard Trim Works

Simple steps, careful hands.

  1. Choose the Shape

We talk about length and style, and what suits your jaw and cheeks.

  2. Take Down the Bulk

Clippers and shears bring the beard to an even, balanced length.

  3. Edge With a Razor

Cheek line and neckline are cleaned up for a crisp outline.

  4. Blend and Finish

Sideburns are faded into your haircut and the mustache is tidied.

Beard Care Tips for Santa Monica Weather

Sun, salt, and wind are tough on facial hair. A few things help.

Rinse After the Ocean

Salt water dries a beard fast. A fresh-water rinse after a swim keeps it soft.

Mind the Sun

Long days outdoors can bleach and dry the ends. Regular trims take those off.

Trim Every Two to Three Weeks

Edges blur quickly. A short visit keeps the lines looking fresh and sharp.

Pair It With Your Haircut

Getting both at once means the sideburns always blend the way they should.

Before the Big Meeting

We open at 7 AM, so a quick beard cleanup fits before a Westside workday.

Event-Ready Beards

A tight shape-up the day before a wedding or shoot shows in every photo.

Beard Questions

Beard Trim and Shave FAQs

How much is a beard trim?

A beard trim or shave is $25 and takes about 30 minutes. If you want a haircut at the same visit, the Haircut & Beard Trim combo is $60 for a full hour, which saves you from booking two separate appointments.

Do you do straight razor shaves?

Yes. We use a straight razor to edge beards and for clean shaves. If you have sensitive skin or get razor bumps, tell your barber before we start. We can adjust how close we go or finish with a trimmer instead.

How long should I let my beard grow before a trim?

Two to four weeks of growth gives us enough to shape. If you're growing it out longer, come in anyway. A light cleanup of the cheeks and neck keeps it looking neat and intentional while the length fills in.

Can you shape a goatee or mustache?

Yes. Goatees and mustaches need careful, even lines, and they're some of our favorite detail work. One of our reviewers mentions how well owner David shaped his goatee. Bring a photo if you have a particular style in mind.

Can I walk in for just a beard trim?

Of course. A beard trim is a quick service, so walk-ins often get seated fast. On Saturdays and after work hours the shop gets busier, and booking online or calling ahead is the safer bet if you are short on time.
